PNWC-AHMP is a local chapter of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals, which supports the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credential and other EHS&S credentials, the standards they represent, and the professionals who uphold them. In 2016, we were presented with the 25-Year Milestone Award for our contributions that have had an exceptional impact on the AHMP organization!

7:30 PM - Program: Social Marketing and Workplace Behavior by Stef Frenzl. Mr. Frenzl is a Social Marketing Specialist with King County's Local Hazardous Waste Management Program. He trains, consults, and coaches groups focusing on social marketing (behavior change) to help people adopt behaviors that are good for their health and the environment. His projects have included protecting children from lead paint dust, encouraging auto paint shops to use less hazardous paints, and helping Dungeness crab harvesters protect the Puget Sound fishery. Stef will share how to use basic behavior change principles to help your own teams, clients, or the public adopt safer behaviors in the workplace. This will be an interactive presentation and you will leave knowing how you can immediately apply these principles in your work.
